Core Sound Options


samplerate
Description This option lets you set the sound frequency used by Mame. The defaults values are 11025, 22050, 44100 or 48000 khz. The higher the number the better the sound quality but sometimes at the expense of performance on older systems.

samples
Description This option turns on or off Mame's support for external sound samples. Samples are mainly used by systems that don't have full sound emulation yet.

Argument Format <boolean>

volume
Description This option sets the volume of the system you want to use. It's value is set in decibels (DB). By default any system will run at 0Db which is full volume. You can only set a minus value down to -32 with decreasing values lowering the system's volume.
